Animal Nursing Correspondence Course Application Pack
The documents in this section will form your application pack for the Animal Nursing Assistance Correspondence Course.
Once you have completed the online application, you must ensure that you complete, sign and return the documents requested in Steps 1-6 to:
VN Admissions, Myerscough College, Bilsborrow, Preston, PR3 0RY
Alternatively you can scan and email the documents to ptol@myerscough.ac.uk.
Please ensure all documents are fully completed.
Please note: If you will be aged 18 or under on or after the 1st of September of the academic year the course starts, you must have GCSE English Language and Mathematics at C (4) or above. Equivalents will not be considered unless you are studying outside of England or Wales.
Steps you must take
Step 1
Anyone under the age of 19 on or after the 1st September 2019, should send copies of all relevant qualifications to us to prove that you meet the entry criteria (GCSEs etc)
Step 2
Complete and sign the Learner Agreement (do not complete the course details section).
Please ensure you remove the statement that doesn't apply to you in relation to being contacted about courses or learning opportunities.
Step 3
Complete the ABC Registration form PFD version or Word Document
Step 4
Complete the Memorandum of Understanding. Please be aware that this has to be signed by your employer or an authorised member of staff at the practice. PDF version or Word Document
Step 5
If your employer is contributing to your fees, please ensure an Employer Responsibility form has been completed. Word Editable Format or PDF Format

Once we have received the documents
If you meet the entry criteria we will write to you with an offer. We will also include a signed copy of your Learner Agreement (for your records) and a signed copy of the Memorandum of Understanding (for your employers' records).
Approximately 5 days before the course starts, the tutor will be in touch directly via telephone to confirm the joining instructions for the course and to discuss your expected outcomes.
